We believe the root of Silent Society is because the Philippines have been found to be one of the most corrupt country in the world …evidences of corruption are in the newspaper everyday. Also its so sad because we are beginning to believe that we are indeed corrupt and that is part of who we are and our Filipino culture. We feel that our leaders only think of themselves and of enriching their families regardless of what the repercussions are to the destiny of our nation..!

Ahh elections, our chance for better leaders! Our chance for REAL CHANGE!

This has jolted us from our comfort zone…all this has come from a feeling of hopelessness and the realization that the future of our country will come from our individual choices this coming elections…yes, the power of choice!

Election is the time when the SHIFT of power from our leaders to us. This is a most precarious moment when we choose those that will take care of our future. BUT…promises of a better tomorrow…personalities jockeying for Number one in the surveys! The survey say..! How true are these? Its all so confusing…again hopelessness…

Lots of prayer, lots of discernment to come up with “Protect your vote, it is sacred, keep it SECRET!”

We believe in the Filipino! We are good, talented and intelligent people.

The Silent society is finally launched and people are talking about it and we are being invited to some forums and workshops, being introduced to those that also have their advocacies…hmmm being put in a space where we normally are the “outsiders.”

… it is VERY evident that in all these advocacies the expression of service and awareness of needed change—inner change and value formation.…and this is hope!
